Walled Lake Consolidated Schools: A Troubling Inconsistency in Addressing Allegations of Misconduct

The Walled Lake Consolidated School District (WLCSD) recently demonstrated commendable, although significantly delayed, action by replacing the principal at Wixom Elementary School in response to community concerns. However, this action starkly contrasts with the district's apparent inaction regarding serious allegations against a teacher at Walled Lake Northern High School, raising critical questions about WLCSD's commitment to student safety and consistent enforcement of its policies.​

According to reports from the Walled Lake Citizens for Parental Rights, a teacher at Walled Lake Northern High School has been accused of engaging in ongoing behavior that allegedly sexualizes the classroom environment. Specific allegations include inappropriate comments and actions that have made students uncomfortable. Some students have stated that the teacher has shared that he likes to be on the ‘Receiving End’ of his homosexual relationships.  Others have recounted his, in class, reading from his sexually explicit novel regarding an underage boy engaging in a sexual relationship with an adult counselor. Despite these serious accusations, there has been little public information regarding any investigation or administrative action taken by the district.​  He is still in the classroom!
